Living with major illness
To different degrees, this can affect our mental health, self-confidence, sense of resilience and even our ability to feel that we can cope with day to day practicalities of life
Reimagining life after major illness
Change is a given and a constant in life, but although part of the natural process of living, not all changes are welcomed or easy to navigate.
Adjusting to a major life-change takes time and involves many emotions and processes. Even positive changes such as becoming a parent, starting a new job, relationship or project can present challenges.
When the change is unexpected or unwelcome, we can experience wider difficulties as we struggle to manage intense emotions that can include feelings of grief, anger and frustration at our situation, hopelessness or despair.
The thought of rebuilding of life can feel precarious and uncertain.
